COME VISIT WAKARUSA'S QUILT GARDEN, PART OF THE QUILT GARDEN TOUR SPONSORED BY AMISH COUNTY NORTHERN INDIANA
- 60,000 blooms packed into 12 gardens (including ones in Middlebury, Shipshewana, Bristol, Goshen, Elkhart, and Nappanee)
- 11 super-sized murals
- 23 total designs, all bursting with color, each with its own special story
- A color patchwork, "sewn" across seven welcoming communities, inspired by quilt designs, powered by imagination
- Nothing else like it in the entire country
I was asked to plan, piece, and embroider the quilt that is the model for the mural that will soon hang on the east side of the Key Bank building. This "Falling Leaves" quilt is now being quilted by Nancy Peterson and when she finishes, it will hang in our store. The plan is for it to be auctioned off, probably later this summer, and the proceeds from the auction donated to charity. The gardens are scheduled to be viewable from May 23 until the first frost.

We have both the regular and the stretch frames on display. These frames feature sturdy, rigid construction; are easy to assemble; and allow the sewing machine to glide effortlessly in all directions, thus turning your machine into a machine quilting system and allowing you to create beautiful quilts. |

The quilt Caddy features hardwood construction, full-extension, ball-bearing drawer glides, and locking casters. The drawers and storage bins make accessing your supplies quick and easy. Various models are available. |

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OUR Special CLUBS
-
Finish It Up Club—Our April winner was Lynn Wagner from Kouts (pictured below), whose winning project was a pair of panties she made for her daughter during my Lingerie class in March. Carol Cripe was the March winner. She had made a neat oven mitt in February. Both of these lucky ladies won a $20.00 gift certificate. Each month we post pictures of all of the entries in our front window. Check them out when you visit and bring your completed project (or projects) made with fabric purchased from us. We’ll include your picture the next time—and maybe even let you know that you’re a winner.

Join the Cut-Ups! —You can use our new AccuCut cutting system to cut strips, squares, rectangles, and appliqué shapes for your projects. This takes the drudgery out of cutting and gives you accurate cuts in a fraction of the time. For a fee of $5.00 per month (or pre-pay for a year and save $10.00), we’ll teach you to use the AccuCut. Then all you have to do is call and make a reservation. Use it as many times as you like during the month to cut fabric purchased in our shop (there will be an extra charge to cut fabric purchased elsewhere).
